MUSIC MINISTRIES

High school students and adults who love to sing, are encouraged to join this ministry.  The choir sings at the 9:30am Sunday Mass September through Corpus Christi and at special holydays and holidays throughout the year as needed.  Rehearsals are conducted September - May on Tuesday evenings from 7 - 8:30pm in the church.  No audition is required.

This ministry is open to Confirmed Catholics. Cantors are scheduled on a rotating basis for all parish liturgies that require music. The cantor leads the congregation in sung prayer - hymns, acclamations and proclaims the psalm in chant. Rehearsals are scheduled privately as needed. Cantors are scheduled approximately twice a month. Auditions are required.

The Parish Children / Youth Choir is open to students grades 2 - 12.  The choir sings for the 4pm Christmas Eve Mass, 11 am Mass on Epiphany or Holy family Sunday , 11am Mass on Palm Sunday, and at the 9:30am Mass on the first Sunday of May (May Crowning).  Rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 - 7pm in room 108 of the school.  Rehearsals are scheduled seasonally for each of the scheduled liturgies. No auditions are required.

This choir provides music for parish funerals as requested by the family of the deceased.  Rehearsals are in the choir loft and begin 45 minutes prior to the funeral liturgy.  Members are called when needed and sing when available. No auditions are required.

High school students and adults are invited to participate in this ministry.  The ensemble plays at either a 5pm Saturday night liturgy or 8am Sunday morning liturgy approximately two times a month, September - May, and at special Christmas and Easter liturgies.  Basic music reading skills are required.  Ringing techniques are taught at rehearsals held on Wednesday evenings, 7 - 8:30pm, September - May, in Conference Room A.

Instrumentalists provide enhancement to the music at Masses throughout the year. Please call the Director of Music for more information. Auditions are required.

The ensemble is open to students in grades 6 through 12.  The choir rehearses two times a month, September - May, on Wednesday evenings at 6pm in room 108 of the school and sings for a monthly 11am Sunday liturgy, September - May.  The ensemble also joins with the Adult choir for the Holy Thursday and Good Friday liturgies. No auditions are required.
