November: Beauty and Prayer
Week of November 23rd
For this week’s Reclaiming Sunday, focus on practicing deep breathing exercises. Take a moment to center yourself with slow, steady inhales and exhales, which help relax the body, release toxins, lower stress levels, and get your blood flowing. Even just a few minutes can leave you feeling refreshed, calm, and more connected to the present moment.
Try this simple exercise:
Sit or lie down comfortably,
Inhale deeply through your nose for a count of four, letting your belly expand,
Hold for a moment, then exhale slowly through your mouth for a count of six,
Repeat for 5–10 minutes, focusing on the rhythm of your breath.
Breathe in calm, breathe out tension, let today be a reset for your mind and body.
Week of November 16th
This week, focus on letting go of anxiety and trusting God’s care in your daily life. Pause from worry and take a moment to set aside your concerns, entering the Sabbath with peace. The night before your Sabbath begins, write down all the people and things that weigh on your mind and place your list in our special prayer basket, entrusting your worries to God for the day. Allow yourself to rest, knowing He holds them for you.
