PASTORAL CARE

Individuals who lovingly and prayerfully deliver the Eucharist to community members who are unable to attend Mass or visit community members in their home or nursing home to share companionship. Help at local nursing homes with a prayer service or lead a rosary. A commitment of a one-year minimum is suggested. Training is provided and annual refresher meetings are provided to support all members.

IN MARY’S ARMS

A Grief Support Ministry which provides support to mothers, fathers, and families who have experienced the loss of a child through miscarriage, stillbirth, or infant death.

Support is offered:

  • We are here to be a loving advocate and support system to moms, dads, and families.

  • Help recover the remains of the baby from the hospital or from a miscarriage at home.

  • Provide prayers, love, and support to the grieving mother, father, and family

  • Offer a Support Volunteer to meet with.

  • Arrange a funeral or prayer service for the baby. There is no charge to families

  • Recommended counselors/support groups

If you or someone you know would like loving support, please contact Kathy Rubio, Director of Pastoral Care, at (651) 982-2229 or at krubio@stpeterfl.org or Shelly Sullivan at (651) 261-7328.

You may participate in one of the following two ways, either way greatly benefits the person requesting prayer.

  1. Prayer chain via email: Prayers will be compiled by a prayer leader and sent via email to those willing to pray. To submit prayer requests or to join the email prayer chain list, please email Kathy at krubio@stpeterfl.org.

  2. Prayer chain via phone: A phone call is made to you with prayer requests. Afterward, you will call 1 person to pass the requests along. To submit prayer requests or to join the phone prayer chain list, please call LeAnn LaCroix, at (651) 462-0221, or Mary Lou, at (651) 213-1220.

You may also add your own requests so we can pray for you. We only ask that you keep requests confidential and that you use prudence when communicating with others.

For any general question relating to our Prayer Chain Ministry, please contact Kathy Rubio at (651) 982-2229 or at krubio@stpeterfl.org.
