Join Us for the Corpus Christi Procession

"I am the living bread that came down from heaven; whoever eats this bread will live forever." – John 6:51
Dear Parish Family,
We warmly invite you to take part in a sacred tradition at the Church of St. Peter, our annual Corpus Christi Procession, taking place on Sunday, June 22nd, immediately following the 11:00 am Mass.
This beautiful celebration honors the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, a feast that proclaims our belief in the real presence of Jesus in the Eucharist.
As a parish community, we will carry the Blessed Sacrament from the church to Door #1, under a newly donated canopy from the Knights of Columbus, while singing hymns. From there, we will process around the school building, making our way to the side of the multipurpose room. The Blessed Sacrament will be placed on an altar. We will offer Benediction with hymns, prayers and a blessing with the Monstrance. The procession will conclude with the return of the Blessed Sacrament to the Adoration Chapel.
This is a joyful and public witness of our Catholic faith, reminding us that Christ walks with us in every part of our lives. As Fr. Bodin says…
"The Corpus Christi Procession is an invitation for all parishioners to grow in deeper understanding of the Lord through the Sacraments."
All are welcome to participate! Please bring your rosary and an open heart, and dress modestly and comfortably for the walk.
We look forward to coming together in unity and reverence to honor Christ in the Eucharist. May the Body and Blood of our Lord nourish our hearts and strengthen our parish family.
In Christ,
Church of St. Peter
